This policy applies to the website of Backstage Media and to every form on it: the form on the contact page, the project brief, the free audit form and the “Where to start” quiz. It explains what happens to the data you enter and to the technical data that comes with it.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Aleksey Borovikov, an SEO specialist who runs Backstage Media. He decides why and how the data from the forms is used, reads the enquiries and answers requests about personal data.
Contact for any question about your data: [email protected] or Telegram @alex_promotion_geo. You can also write through the contact page.
What data we collect
Through the forms we collect what you enter yourself:
- your name, or how you want us to address you;
- a way to contact you: email, phone or a messenger handle, whichever you enter;
- your website address, if you give one and want us to look at it;
- the text of your task, question or project description;
- in the quiz, your answers to its three questions.
When you send a form, the notification email we receive also contains technical details: the page you sent the form from, your city and country as determined from your IP address, the IP address itself and your browser type. We use them to tell real enquiries from spam and to understand which page the request came from.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity also collect data about how you use the site. This is described below and in the cookie policy.
We do not ask for more than we need to answer you, and we do not buy or receive your data from other sources.
Why we use this data
To answer your enquiry, to run the free audit you asked for, to prepare an estimate or to discuss the terms of a project. Analytics data, if you allow it, helps us see which pages are useful and which need work.
We do not send mailings you did not ask for, we do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third parties for their marketing.
Basis for processing
We handle the form data on the basis of your consent: you tick the consent box and send the form. If the conversation turns into a project, we keep using your contact details to prepare and carry out the work you asked for.
Analytics cookies are also based on consent: they load only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect what was done before it.
Who processes the data
We use a few services to run the site. Each of them receives only the data it needs and handles it under its own privacy terms.
| Service | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts the site, runs the Turnstile anti-spam check, keeps an anti-spam counter | IP address, technical browser data; the counter is tied to the IP address and expires after about an hour |
| Resend | Delivers the email with your enquiry to our inbox | The contents of the form and the technical details listed above |
| Google Analytics 4 | Traffic statistics, only with your consent | Pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, a random identifier in a cookie |
| Microsoft Clarity | Clicks, scrolling and session replays, only with your consent | Pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, a random identifier in a cookie |
These companies may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. We do not use the analytics data to identify you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries no longer than needed to answer them and to keep up the correspondence about your project. If no project follows, the enquiry stays in our mailbox only as part of the email history, and we delete it on request. Google Analytics keeps user-level data for the period set in our account, after that only aggregated statistics remain.
Your rights
You can:
- ask what data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data or stop processing it;
- withdraw your consent to the processing of form data or to analytics cookies.
Write to [email protected] and say which enquiry or data you mean. We reply to such requests and act on them unless there is a lawful reason to keep the data. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the forms on the site or the services we use change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
