Website SEO optimization is a one-time project you order when a site has accumulated specific problems, from vague page titles to slow loading. Unlike ongoing SEO, optimization has a clear end: a list of fixes made on the site.

Website SEO optimization is a one-time set of technical and content work on structure, meta tags, page copy, internal links, load speed and schema markup that brings a site in line with what search engines expect.

What is website SEO optimization and how is it different from ongoing SEO

Optimization ends. We check the site against specific areas, find the problems and fix them. Ongoing SEO runs for months, with keyword research, content and analytics, and optimization becomes its first step.

We do not sell off-page optimization, meaning link building, as a separate service. We work on the on-page side, where the result can be checked directly on the site. The platform (WordPress, Bitrix, MODX, OpenCart, Tilda, Webflow and others) only changes how the fixes are made.

What website SEO optimization includes

Six areas, and for each one we record the specific problems.

Site structure

We check the hierarchy of sections, navigation, and any redundant or duplicate pages. A clear structure helps both the visitor and the search engine.

Meta tags and headings

According to Google’s SEO starter guide, a page title should be unique and describe the content accurately, and the description should be short. The order of H1 to H6 does not affect rankings: what matters is that it is logical.

Page copy

We edit copy to match what the user is searching for, without keyword stuffing and without padding the length. If a lot of rework is needed, it makes more sense to order SEO content writing separately.

Internal linking

According to Google’s documentation on crawlable links, a crawler only follows an <a> element with an href, and an important page should have at least one link pointing to it. We look for pages with no links and navigation the crawler cannot see.

Load speed

We compare pages with the Core Web Vitals thresholds: main content within 2.5 seconds, response under 200 milliseconds, layout shift no more than 0.1. Deeper problems call for a technical website audit.

Schema.org markup

We check which types of markup are already in place and which are missing. We add markup in JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa.

How we do SEO optimization

The steps are the same for any site. The depth depends on the number of pages.

Who one-time optimization is for

Sites after a technical audit

If an audit has already produced a list of problems, optimization is the step where they actually get fixed.

Sites before ongoing SEO

It makes sense to bring a site in order before starting ongoing work. A brand-new site is better served by SEO for a new website, where optimization is part of the first tasks.

Sites that lack copy

If most of the work is in the copy, we write it as a separate service, and optimization is limited to fixes in the other areas.

What you get at the end

A prioritized list of fixes made across the six areas, plus recommendations on what to do separately. We agree the format of the report in advance, and every item is backed by a specific change. For a broader diagnostic, see the website SEO audit.

We price the work individually after a free diagnostic. The author of this page, Aleksey Borovikov, can tell you which format will suit your site.

Frequently asked questions

What is website SEO optimization?

It is a one-time set of technical and content work: fixes to structure, meta tags, page copy, internal links, load speed and schema markup. The result is a document listing what was changed on the site.

How is SEO optimization different from ongoing SEO?

Optimization is a finite project that ends with a list of fixes made on the site. Ongoing SEO is a continuing process with keyword research, content, analytics and monthly reporting. If you want steady growth in impressions and clicks, ongoing SEO is the better fit.

What does on-page optimization include?

Six areas: site structure, meta tags and headings, page copy, internal linking, load speed and Schema.org markup. For each one we record the specific problems and make the fixes, rather than handing over a general recommendation.

What is off-page optimization, and do you do it separately?

Off-page optimization is work on reputation and the link profile outside your site. We do not sell link building as a separate service. Our focus is the on-page side, which is fully in the hands of the client and the contractor.

How much does SEO optimization cost?

We price it individually. The cost depends on the size of the site, the platform and the number of problems found. There are no fixed packages. The estimate is free: request an express audit and we will send you an estimate of the scope of work.

How long does optimization take?

It depends on the size of the site and the number of fixes. A small services site and a store with thousands of pages need different amounts of time. We do not quote a single timeline. A precise estimate comes after the free diagnostic.

How is optimization different from a technical audit?

A technical audit is a diagnostic that ends with a list of problems found, without fixing them. Optimization is the next step, where those problems are fixed on the site. It often makes sense to start with an audit so you understand the scope of work.

Is optimization suitable for a new website?

Yes, but a new site with no history is usually better served by SEO for a new website, where optimization is part of the first tasks. One-time optimization suits a site that has already accumulated specific technical problems.

Which platforms do you work with?

We have optimized more than 120 sites on WordPress, Bitrix, MODX, OpenCart, Tilda and Webflow, and have experience with Drupal and Joomla. The platform only changes how we make the fixes. The six areas we check stay the same.
