You hire an SEO consultant when you want to work not with a company and its managers, but with a person who will get to grips with your site, make the decisions and answer for the result. I run the project personally, from the first audit to the monthly report.
Behind this format is the same pipeline and infrastructure as at the Backstage Media studio: static sites, automatic deploys, a source for every fact. The difference is who runs the project and who you discuss decisions with.
Who an SEO consultant is and how they differ from an agency
At an agency, keyword research, technical work and content are usually handled by different people, with a manager coordinating them. I run the whole project: from niche research to copy, build, deploy and analytics.
If you prefer a team format with the same methodology, see website SEO.
What working with an SEO consultant includes
The scope is as full as a team’s, except that I do each block myself.
Hands-on technical SEO
I set up robots.txt and the sitemap, remove duplicates, set redirects and watch speed against Core Web Vitals. I make the HTML and CSS fixes myself, without an outside developer.
Keyword research and content
I build the keyword set, design the structure around it and write the SEO content. The person who collected the queries writes the text, so context is not lost.
Schema markup, indexation and E-E-A-T
I add Schema.org markup and monitor indexation in Search Console. In its guidance on helpful content, Google names trust as the most important factor, and the reader should be able to tell who the author is.
Analytics and reporting
I work with Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog. Once a month I put impressions, clicks and positions into one report.
How I work on your site’s SEO
Steps of working with an SEO consultant
- 01
Audit and niche analysis
I check technical state, indexation, speed and competitors.
- 02
Keyword research
I collect queries and assign them to pages.
- 03
Technical optimization and schema markup
I fix indexation errors, set up redirects and Schema.org.
- 04
Content and internal linking
I write the copy from the keyword research and connect pages with links.
- 05
Publication and indexation control
I watch how Google processes the updates.
- 06
Reporting and adjustment
Once a month I put the numbers together and refine the plan.
Full administrative access is not needed: the owner confirms ownership in Google Search Console and gives me the set of permissions I need.

Which sites and businesses this format suits
Sites on WordPress, Bitrix, MODX, OpenCart, Tilda, Webflow, Drupal and Joomla. Small and mid-sized businesses that value direct contact with the person doing the work. I work remotely.
How to choose an SEO consultant: Google’s position
Google has a guide, Do You Need an SEO?, on what to look at when hiring.
What Google says and how it works with me
| Google’s criterion | What Google says | How I handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Guarantees of results | No one can guarantee the number one spot in search, and consultants who promise it deserve extra scrutiny | I do not guarantee positions. I focus on growth in impressions, clicks and requests |
| Transparency of methods | Be careful if a consultant is secretive and does not explain clearly what they plan to do | I openly show my tools, my training and my own production pipeline, including the use of AI |
| Link schemes | Avoid consultants who talk about schemes for inflating link popularity | I do not sell link building as a separate service and work with methods that search engines describe officially |
Before you start working together, it makes sense to check the site independently: that is what the website SEO audit is for.

My own AI pipeline and several channels for requests
SEO works over the long run: in my experience, noticeable growth shows up after 3–6 months. Alongside it I set up promotion in AI search, where competition is still lower.

What you get and why you can trust me
In SEO since October 2018, with more than 120 sites done personally, and no subcontractors on key tasks. I worked at several digital agencies and have run my own projects since November 2025. Training: SEO Shaolin, SEO Meat, Advanced SEO Individual Training and “SEO Without the Fluff”. My standards base is open on GitHub.
I do not use fake reviews, behavioral manipulation, multiple accounts or gray niches. More on the page of Aleksey Borovikov. I price the work individually, and the estimate and audit are free.
